The journey continues towards the election with just two days to go to the Democratic National Convention that conveines on Monday, August 19, 2024. The campaign is speeding across the country, with campaign rallies that are energizing the Democratic Party in almost a frensy state. Vice-President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s popularity is skyrocketing with only 3 weeks into their own personal campaign when she announced she would be running for President as Joe BIden was ending his bid for a second term in the Whitehouse. Poll numbers show the results about a very well put together campaign and the upcoming convention in two days will cement their lead to the election.Â
Also on the forefront, Tim Walz will be attending his televised debate on CBS News with J.D. Vance on October 1, 2024. Prior to that, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump plan to face off in a debate on NBC with the date being September 10, and another debate that should take place in October, but no specific dates are set. Donald Trump wants to debate Kamala Harris on FOX NEWS on September 4, but there is no agreement as of this date to hold a debate on FOX NEWS.Â

The journey continues as Kamala Harris and Tim Walz travel the country in swing states and the campaign is now in full swing. In about two weeks, the Democratic National Convention will take place in Chicago. There, the duo will continue to show stark differences between the Donald Trump/J.D. Vance ticket to the Harris/Walz ticket. In the mean time, Donald Trump is trying every which way he can to try to own the news cycle.
Recently, FOX NEWS played a clip of Kamala Harris in a interview with Megyn Kelly promoting violence saying “It’s not going to stop”. Isn’t it amazing how AI has now taken control of Fox News reporting? Kamala Harris would never encourage anyone to promote violence. How gullible are the followers of Trump, some who watch Fox News, in thinking that everything that is shown on that network is true? Fox News was sued recently for doing just that. Sadly, some of my Republican friends do watch and believe EVERYTHING FOX NEWS SAYS, and I just hope they are ready for the complete meltdown of Donald Trump by election day.Â
They may believe that her being elected is the worst thing that could happen to this country, but actually electing Donald Trump with J.D. Vance would be far worse as they will promote Project 2025 and what that will mean for our Democracy.Â

It has been confirmed that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who has a history of successfully appealing to moderate voters, is Kamala Harris’s choice for her running mate. Harris will publicly announce this pic shortly before kicking off a multi-day tour of battleground states starting today in Philadelphia.Â
What are his credentials to date?
First, he was elected as Minnesota’s 41 Governor in 2018 and won re-election in 2022.
His successes as Governor are as follows:
- Protected reproductive freedom.
- Strengthen voting rights.
- Cut taxes for the middle class
- Provided universal free school meals for students
- Expanded paid leave for Minnesota workers.
- Provided a plan for 100% clean electricity by 2040
Prior to his being the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz won his first election to the United States House of Representatives in 2006 and was re-elected for another five terms, serving Minnesota’s First Congressional District in Southern Minnesota.
Tim was born in rural Nebraska. He enlisted in the Army National Guard. Later, he attended Chadron State College and graduated with a social science degree in 1989.
He spent time as a teacher, teaching abroad prior to returning home, going back full-time into the Army National Guard, but then he eventually accepted a high school teaching and coaching position.
While teaching high school, Tim met his future wife, Gwen Whipple, who also taught at the same school. They both moved to Mankato, Minnesota in 1996 to teach at Mankato West High School. Tim coached the Mankato West football team, and they won the school’s first state championship.

It has been just released that Kamala Harris raised $310 million during the first 2 weeks of her campaign since she announced her candidacy on July 21st with just 94 days until the election. The majority was raised by small dollar donors and many who donated for the first time. Her campaign has been full of facts and no lies, in contrast to Donald Trump who claims everything is fake, and cannot complete a sentence without telling a lie. In just this same amount of time, the tide has turned, and the polls prove it. It seems as if Donald Trump has been swallowed by a dark hole. He came out of the Republican convention on a high, rightly so because he made his case against Joe Biden. He had no clue, nor the smarts to know that Joe Biden would step down to protect the country from him, and he had the perfect tool to do so, with the intro of Kamala Harris as the now presumptive nominee. Now, Trump doesn’t know how to keep from sinking in the abyss. His only solution in his mind is to rally up his base by telling them what they want to hear, not provide facts. At the end when he loses, he will contest the facts after losing to Kamala, someone to this day, states that he will not debate her. As the coward he is and his uncanny ability to take wrong advice, he cannot even help himself. He has no one surrounding him that can or would even try to convince Trump to do anything right, because Trump only believes that he knows what right, and wants no advice from anyone. As the leader of the Republican Party, Trump has been completely supported by his base, the MAGA movement in which the party has turned into.
Kamala has had unbelievable rallies since her announcing her candidacy. Within the next 5 days, she will announce her running mate. It will be one of the most important decisions of her candidacy, as she needs a running mate that could double down on Trump and help her in a campaign to keep Donald Trump in that dark hole. It’s only been a week, and Kamala Harris has super energized the Democrats once again. President Joe Biden was very strategic when he made the move to step down. I believe that he had every intention to eventually step down, but it had to be at the right time.
His original intention to run for president originally was because he felt that he was the best candidate to beat Trump. Besides, he had to make things right. During the campaign of 2020, Joe Biden did not have a very easy pathway in the Democratic Party to get re-elected, especially after that debate with Trump. One of the challenges vying for the Democratic nomination was yours truly, Kamala Harris, who was a Senator at the time that felt it was time to also run against Trump. Biden openly debated against her on national TV. History has it that Biden did win the Democratic nomination, as he became the presumptive nominee for president. He wasn’t running as the current vice-president, because Trump was running for a second term with his vice president as the incumbent. Surprisingly after such a historic Democratic debate between Biden and Harris and other Democratic candidates, Biden chose Harris to be his running mate, a complete surprise by all the political critics from both sides of the aisle. During the 2016 election, he elected to not run for president when Barack Obama was finishing his second term. The main reason was because of his recent son Beau’s death. He wasn’t up to run. He felt, as everyone did, that Hillary Clinton could beat Trump, but when Trump won the election against Hillary Clinton, he was going to do whatever it took to keep Donald Trump out of the White House for a second term.
Then it came time for Biden to chose his running mate. He chose Kamala. Suddenly, one of Biden’s greatest critics, someone who was running against him for the Democratic nomination for president, accepted Joe Biden’s request to run with him in the election.
Then in a tight race, Joe Biden became President, and Kamala Harris became the Vice-President. That’s what happened in 2020.
But now, fast-forward to today. Donald Trump and his MAGA party, the ex-Republican party, nominated Donald Trump, even after he became a convicted felon. There was an attempt on Donald Trump’s life when he was at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The MAGA’s really felt that now it was destiny for Trump to become President again. An assassin’s bullet pierced his ear, causing damage but no damage to his head. Trump is lucky to be living.
In just a few days from the assassination attempt, the Republican Party commenced with their Republican Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The convention convened just a few weeks after Joe Biden and Donald Trump held a debate on national TV. During the debate, Joe Biden literally tanked, and it didn’t take long for the Democratic Party to say that our current President needed to step down. At the debate, Trump introduced his choice for Vice-President, J.D. Vance, a U.S. Senator from Ohio. Outside the Republican Convention and keeping hold of daily headlines, Joe Biden consistently stated that he was not stepping down, and that he was going to run against Trump. Trump took the news, hook, line and sinker. There was a second debate scheduled with Trump, but Trump has so much success during the first debate, he became over-confident that he could now beat Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
As the days wore on, the Democratic Party seemed to be splitting in their support for President Biden. The Republican Party chose J.D. Vance as their candidate to run with Donald Trump. During the Debate, the Republican Party verbally disgorged President Biden. They were so fired up to take the torch on the road to begin their road against Biden to retake the White House. Then, the Republican Convention was over, and the Republican committee started to ramp up advertisements against Joe Biden. They sincerely believed they were going to beat President Joe Biden this time around.
Then it was time for President Biden to make his move. The President knew that he didn’t have enough time to get the party to completely support him, and he knew it would be an uphill fight, but if he wanted to beat Donald Trump who was gaining in popularity since the convention, he had to do something so radical, that the Republican Party would be caught in the super July surprise that he actually had in store for them since before their convention.
He made the announcement that he was stepping down from pursuing a second term as President of the United States. Wow!! Joe Biden stepped down for the betterment of the country. Here he was, already President of the United States, and he was voluntarily giving up the nomination because the country needed him to step down. He dreamed his who life when he aspired to be a two term President, that now he is going to give it up for the county. Why? Because his Vice-President, Kamala Harris has all the tools and skills, her tenure as his Vice-President, was going to fit right in the mix for becoming the de-facto nominee for President in the upcoming election. He knew that she could energize the party and the country, and in less than a week, her poll numbers skyrocketed. All the ads the Republicans geared up, all the money that was spent against Joe Biden to defeat him, all had to be pulled back because Joe Biden stepped down. He endorsed his Vice-President, Kamala Harris, to become the Democratic candidate, and she happily accepted. Now the table was turned. The Democratic Party was again energized with unity. Everyone was backing Kamala Harris. She has proven herself as an attorney, a prosecutor, an Attorney General of California, and eventually a Senator. She is Joe Biden’s immediate air to the presidency as Joe Biden’s Vice-President. Now she has the task of running against Donald Trump for president. The tables were now turned.
Now, Donald Trump became the oldest candidate to attempt to gain the office of the President of the United States. Now Donald Trump, the Republican MAGA candidate with the support of the Republican Party, now leads the party, even as a convicted felon. The morals of the Republican Party were thrown out the window. The real Republicans (NON-MAGA’s) are deserting Trump in groves.
Now, Trump has the responsibility to debate Kamala Harris for President instead of Joe Biden. It’s the prosecutor against the felon. It is a storybook election, an election that is so important to Democracy, that everyone must now go to the polls and vote.
Will Donald Trump actually be in a national debate with Kamala Harris. My bet is that he will chicken out, no matter how much he says he will be in a debate with her. The debate can be his nail in the coffin. What happened to Joe Biden could backfire and happen to him. Picking J.D. Vance as his vice-president didn’t help. J.D Vance is a prime target for the Democratic critics that will expose J.D. Vance for who he is.

If you believe in destiny, this is an example of that. There is not much now that can stop Kamala Harris and her running mate, who is unannounced at this time, from gaining the White House in 2024.
