Approximately one week ago, the Harris campaign launched “The Republicans for Harris” initiative, which targets Republicans that are tired of Donald Trump, and they now campaign for Democrats.
It’s about prominent Republicans that are willing to speak out that will not only reach out to non-Trump Republicans, but also to moderate GOP voters and others who will not support Donald Trump’s reelection bid for the White House. They ask their constituents to support them. They are mostly retired, but many are still in office.
Many left because they believe the Republican Party lost its values with Trump as their leader. They refuse to follow Trump.
More Proof that Republicans are Abandoning Trump
Republicans for Harris activists air to attract moderates, independents, like Republicans who may have voted for former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as she challenged Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. One of the reasons why the Democratic Party believes they can pull a majority of her voters to support Democrats is because she stated she would never vote for Trump, but prior to her dropping out of the race, she had since said she would vote for him. Many of her voters would NEVER vote for Trump. Nikki Haley abandoned their voices when she supported Trump, thinking that all of her followers would jump off of a bridge with her for Trump.
Another reason why many Republicans will join the Democratic process to defeat Trump is because the former president backs the far-right playbook Project 2025, and they believe that the values of the Republican Party are with anyone that supports Donald Trump.
The reason why the real Republicans will flock to the Democrats to support Kamala Harris is because they are “Republicans who care about defending democracy and restoring decency – all of which would be torn away in a second Trump presidency.” If Trump were to become president, the Republican Party could never recover.
Other coalitions working in tandem with “Republicans for President” are “White Dudes for Harris” to “Young Republicans for Harris”.
To begin with the support by Republicans, there are several GOP endorsements who were former members of Congress. Most were pushed out of the party when they wouldn’t support Donald Trump.
Here are a few of the names now supporting ‘Republicans for Harris’.
Adam Kinzinger; Rod Chandler of Washington; Tom Coleman of Missouri; Dave Emery of Maine; Wayne Gilchrest, who was a GOP member from 1991 until 2009, of Maryland; Jim Greenwood of Pennsylvania; John LeBoutillier of New York; Susan Molinari of New York; Jack Quinn of New York; Denver Riggleman of Virginia; Claudine Schneider of Rhode Island; Christopher Shays of Connecticut; Peter Smith of Vermont; Alan Steelman of Texas; David Trott of Michigan; and Joe Walsh of Illinois.
The program also includes former Trump officials such as former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and Olivia Troye, a former national security adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence.

The Trump Campaign, that sheds mostly negative vibes, is working to make people believe that Kamala Harris is a dangerous liberal. Trump degraded Harris during his Atlanta rally when he called Harris a “radical left freak.”
Meanwhile, the Harris campaign is continuing to push for GOP voters by creating state advisory committees that will “play a pivotal role in facilitating Republican-to Republican voter contact.”
This will include hosting events featuring Republicans, door knocking and Republicans working phone banks for Harris, contacting Republican voters as a reach out to Republicans to make the right choice, to ditch Trump and vote for Kamala Harris.
